Help young people on the road to a bright future
We give at-risk children caring, enduring, one-to-one relationships that change their lives. Are you interested in becoming a mentor? Just a few hours each week can make a big difference in the life of a child. Or maybe you’d like to invest in a child’s future with a gift that supports our mentoring program. Your gift will help provide a carefully trained, screened and matched mentor for a child. Our mentors help children envision a better future, improve communication with their families and friends and feel loved and supported. But it doesn’t stop there. City Gospel Mission provides our mentors with ongoing support, training, coaching and resources to help make the mentoring relationship long-lasting.
A study by a nonprofit research group shows that mentored youth are 52% less likely to skip school, 46% less likely to use drugs, and 33% less likely to engage in acts of violence.

We seek to be personally accessible to support mentors, and help mentors make the deepest most long-lasting impact possible in a child’s life.
