Holiday Programs

Fall Feast on Thanksgiving Day is held at Duke Energy Center, 525 Elm Street. Doors open at 9:00 a.m. All are welcome. Free Thanksgiving turkey dinner will be served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Also available for free at the event: coats, haircuts, health clinic, vision screenings, dental checkups for children, live music, children’s inflatable play area and a petting zoo.

City Gospel Mission’s Holiday Programs offer a Thanksgiving grocery store and a Christmas gift store for people with very low-incomes. The goal is to empower shoppers to celebrate Thanksgiving and Christmas with their families without destroying their tight budgets.

Next Steps

Thanksgiving & Christmas help: All of City Gospel Mission’s Thanksgiving & Christmas help is administered through local churches. If your church participates in our two holiday programs (Thanksgiving Exchange & Christmas Store), they will have all the information needed about the assistance that is offered and how to access it. If your church does not participate but would like to learn more, they may contact Angela Allen, VP Church Partnerships, at (513) 345-1021 or aallen@citygospelmission.org.

Other Resources: If you cannot access our holiday programs, there are many other resources for holiday assistance. The United Way Helpline has a list of many of those here: www.uwgc.org/211 or call (513) 721-7900.
