Help provide character-building programming for at-risk youth

Our sports, recreation and performing arts initiatives for kids may all seem very different, but they have a few important things in common: they teach kids the love of God and help them become healthy, caring individuals. Whether a teen is cycling with us to Niagara Falls or playing in one of our basketball leagues, he is learning values and life skills that will help him make positive choices, set personal goals and become a successful, contributing adult. When you give to help at-risk youth, you’re giving so much more than soccer or a fun event – you’re helping a child realize his potential.

Our Impact

By the Numbers

Over 900 kids participate in our 5 character building programs each year.

The Story of One

Princesses Ballet“Much of what I am able to accomplish now I owe to the many working hands in and around (City Gospel Mission),” Mindi says. Read Mindi’s story.

Our Approach

City Gospel Mission has 5 different character building programs for youth: basketball, cycling, soccer, youth groups, and Hispanic outreach programs. Each is designed to encourage personal growth and confidence rather than competition. We help establish and support significant mentoring relationships with youth participants to make the deepest most long-lasting impact possible in a child’s life.
