Legacy Giving

Legacy givingBy taking an active role in planning your financial affairs, you can leave a legacy while actually increasing your current after-tax income by leaving assets to City Gospel Mission rather than the IRS. This is a clear win-win situation.

Here are some examples of planned giving that can help you and provide your own legacy for the work being done in the lives of the homeless at City Gospel Mission:

  • Leave a gift to City Gospel Mission in your Will
  • Name City Gospel Mission as your life insurance beneficiary
  • Donate appreciated assets such as stocks or mutual funds
  • Set up a Charitable Gift Annuity
  • Donate real estate or personal property

"Charity" (such as City Gospel Mission) also receives 25% of the estate. To get started, you can go to a local attorney or go online and include City Gospel Mission as one of your children (or "beneficiaries") in your Will. Visit our online Christian Wills Guide for easy-to-understand, money-saving help with both options. Or to get some perspective on how to treat your children in your stewardship planning, you can request our new bulletin “Big Questions Every Parent Must Ask.”
