A new plan: Achieving goals

Youth Mentoring Being a MentorA City Gospel Mission mentor is a caring adult friend who devotes time to a young person. Our mentors provide young people with knowledge, encouragement and experiences that will help them make good choices. A mentor is also committed to regularly praying for the child. All mentoring relationships are anchored within an ongoing program of City Gospel Mission. Therefore, in order to become a mentor, a volunteer must be involved in one of our youth programs for at least six months before applying for a mentoring position. CGM supports our mentors with ongoing training and resources as well as opportunities to connect with other mentors in the area. We also ensure the safety of all children with thorough background checks and screenings of all volunteers who work with children. Take ActionWe need committed and caring women and men to mentor at-risk youth. Becoming a mentor is a serious commitment that will change the life of a child. It will change your life, too. City Gospel Mission cares about Greater Cincinnati's children and their future. We offer a wide variety of programs for youth but most importantly, we help establish significant one-to-one relationships between youth and caring adult mentors.
