Uniting to better serve our community

JobsPlus and City Gospel Mission have worked side by side for years to transform lives. Now, we're excited to announce our merger! As a program of City Gospel Mission, JobsPlus can focus on what it does best–job readiness training, job placement and mentoring.

JobsPlus clientJob Readiness Training & Job Placement

Jobs Plus was founded in 1994 to help people from low-income communities become quality employees.

The 10-week job readiness program is a proven, effective approach to helping men and women achieve sustained employment and personal renewal. The program includes courses in life skills needed to succeed in the workplace. After completion of the training program, each person meets with the Job Placement Director to develop a job search action plan. Clients are always welcome to use the Resource Center for resume preparation, internet and phone access and additional job readiness video training.

JobsPlus Mentoring

The mentoring program assists residents at Hamilton County Correctional Facilities in making a positive transition back to the community through affirming personal relationships and access to job training and placement resources. Mentors and residents meet once a week for two to three months prior to the resident’s release and continue to do so for three months afterward. At the same time, residents participate in the job readiness program and search for meaningful employment.
