GE Matches Gifts 2:1

We have some very exciting news! On December 19, 2008, The GE Foundation announced a new Food & Shelter Matching Gifts Program that matches 2:1 all gifts made to City Gospel Mission by GE employees and retirees.

This program focuses on basic needs, specifically the provisioning of food and shelter, to organizations that have experienced a significant increase in demand due to the economic downturn. This temporary program will end on December 31, 2009.

If you are a GE employee or retiree this program will match 2:1 your gifts made to City Gospel Mission up to $25,000. This means that even more people will be helped this year. Your generous gift of $25 or more will be tripled.

City Gospel Mission would love to have all the gifts that you generously give matched 2:1. Here's how it works:

  • After you make your gift of $25 or more to City Gospel Mission, register your gift by logging onto the GE Foundation Matching Gifts Website (click on the "GE Participants" button).
  • On the welcome page you will see text at the top announcing the Special Food & Shelter Matching Gifts Program, including a link to access the new program page. The gift registration process is the same as the normal matching gift program, but the Food & Shelter gifts must be registered via this new page specific to the Food & Shelter Program in order for us to receive the 2:1 match. Instructions and FAQs are available within the website.

We are grateful to GE and its employees and retirees for helping the homeless and hurting here in Greater Cincinnati!
